  • 600 g / i.2 lb scotch fillet steak / boneless rib eye (Note i)
  • ii tbsp vegetable oil , divided
  • 1 large onion (or 2 minor onions), sliced
  • 300 g / 10 oz mushrooms , sliced (not likewise thin)

  • 2 tbsp flour (Note 2)

  • Use your fist (or rolling pin or mallet) to flatten the steaks to nearly three/4cm / 1/3" thick. Slice into 5mm / 1/five" strips (cutting long ones in one-half), discarding backlog fat.

  • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  • Heat i tbsp oil in a large skillet over high heat. Besprinkle one-half the beefiness in the skillet, Apace spread it with tongs. Leave untouched for thirty seconds until browned.
